This is your chance! Join us at the SR2 Blacksmith Shop for Metalworking MB Workshop! \n  \nOur local SR2 Blacksmith Kevin\, will teach Scouts working on the Metalwork merit badge how to safely work with a variety of types of metal. Scouts will explore different types of metalwork and the various career opportunities for people who enjoy working metal. \nClass is at SR2 – Camp 9 Blacksmith Shop. Starts at 9AM sharp. Class ends at 4PM. Saturday September 30th 2023 & Saturday October 21st 2023. No meals will be provided. \nLeader in charge will need to have Medical Form Parts A&B on hand. \nPlan to bring a printed Metalwork MB worksheet\, water bottle\, lunch\, shirt/pants (all natural fibers) and closed toe shoes. \nPlease no field uniforms in the shop\, it is not made of appropriate materials. \nClass will be rescheduled if less than 5 register. \nWeekend camping must be booked separately. \nSee you at SR2!

Yes\, you read that right! Come shred the slopes with us and complete the Downhill (Alpine) Skiing requirements for Snow Sports Merit Badge. \nSkiing for the first time\, and a little intimidated? That’s ok! We have snow sleds that you can cruse down in! \nBSA Health Form A&B are required for this weekend. \nWhat to bring for the slopes? Ski slope safety procedures require Skiers wear long sleeves\, long pants\, and socks under the ski boots. Gloves\, knee/elbow pads are optional if you would like to bring them. Refillable water bottle for each participant. \nCamping is allowed for this weekend and will be assigned the week before the event. Campsite assignments will be emailed to the registration contact. Campsites do not have electrictiy access. \nFood will not be provided\, please plan to bring food\, and cook as a unit.
